What You Should
Know before Using a Hair Removal Cream
Unwanted hair is something women have dealt with all their lives, whether they used waxing strips, shaving,
bleaching or hair removal cream - the hair had to go.
One of the cheapest and painless alternatives has always been the hair removal cream; however there are a few
factors you should consider before using one.
Facts about Hair Removal Cream
What you should know before using a hair removal cream is that some of the chemicals can react when in contact
with your skin even if you usually do not have sensitive skin. Therefore, it is recommended to try it first on the
back of your arm before you apply it all over your body and break out in a rash.
Most creams for removing hair and made for sensitive skin and some come in kits, one is to remove the hair while
another is to be applied after the hair removal to calm and soothe the skin.
Hair removal creams do not remove hair from the roots, just from the skin surface, which in turn means that you
will have hair growth within about a week or even earlier depending from person to person. Read the instructions
that come with these creams as they have contraindications as well as how often they can be used.
The Advantages of Hair Removal Cream
The best thing about hair removal cream has to be that it is painless, as we all know how painful waxing can be.
Removing hair with a cream is fast and does not promote hair growth as do shavers and it also does not pose the
danger of being nicked in the process, which often happens when using the blade on a knee or ankle.
Hair removal cream can be used on the face as well (but, you must first try the cream on the back of your arm to
make sure you don’t have any adverse reactions) and on the bikini area without leaving a trace as does the shaver
and at times even waxing.
The hair removal cream tubes are small and convenient to carry around; you can even slide it in the purse if
there is a need for a quick touch up.
Disadvantages
The disadvantage of using a cream for removing hair is the fact that it does contain strong chemicals and it may
cause a rash as well as the hair growth is quicker than when using the waxing method to remove unwanted hair.
